Focus Course: Working with Families

Families are a part of our unit of care. Learning to work together with them as a team will make everyone’s job easier. This course includes:

• What the five stages of grieving are, and how families experience them
• How working cooperatively with families can make your job easier
• How family challenges can affect the way family members relate to you
• Simple, non-technical ways to help family members cope
• How to begin developing a genuine caring partnership with every family member
